Lipari
With its volcanic origins Lipari is the largest and most populated of the Aeolian Islands, a volcanic archipelago off the coast of Sicily. It’s a lively busy place with picturesque streets, an attractive harbor and a historic castle-citadel. An unforgettable experience for the lovers of nightlife thanks to its wonderful pubs, restaurants and shops all around the island opened until late night. If you also want to have a cultural trip, you can visit the famous Lipari’s Castle and the Archeological Museum, one of the most important in Mediterranean Sea. If you are not on diet, you must eat the most famous typical dishes, “Nacatole” and “Spicchitedda”!
Vulcano
With its visibly smoking crater and vile sulphurous fumes, Vulcano makes an indelible first impression. With its stateliness this volcanic Island has always impressed visitors: the ancient Romans believed it to be the chimney of the fire god Vulcan's workshop, and today it remains famous for its therapeutic mud baths and hot springs. The main attraction remains the Fossa di Vulcano, the steaming volcano that towers over the island’s northeastern shores.
The black sand and the typical scent of sulfur make this island different from anything that you can see in the entire Aeolian archipelago.
After having a typical mud bathing or relaxing sauna let yourself waking-up by the delicious hot “ricotta” .
